Research Scientist

About the Role

  • Drives results – Demonstrated experience, as evidenced in your publication, grant and/or presentation history, in research of immunological and inflammatory mechanisms of disease.

  • Cultivates innovation - Extensive experience in cutting-edge cell biology, immunological and molecular biology techniques, with particular emphasis on RNAseq, mass spectrometry and bioinformatics. 

  • Builds effective teams - Demonstrated ability to work independently, in teams and as a supervisor/mentor in the development, conduct and publication of projects.

  • Communicates effectively - Proficiency in communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally, as demonstrated by an output of high quality publications, grant submissions, conference presentations and establishment of collaborations.

  • Customer/patient focus – Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential patient information and liaising with clinical staff to facilitate the collection of research specimens in accordance with Human Research Ethics Committees (HREC) approvals.
