The Organisation

Gowrie Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1939, committed to our purpose to champion good early childhood education and care. Due to internal movement we are recruiting for a full time, Diploma qualified Educator at our Yarraville service, 

The Role

The Educator supports the room leader, and their team, by delivering high quality ECEC reflective of Gowrie Victoria’s purpose, values and philosophy. We expect all our educators to:

  • Understand and role model Gowrie Victoria's purpose, values and philosophy
  • Assist in the development and implementation of high quality ECEC programs
  • Provide accurate written documentation that supports practice and compliance requirements
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and the broader community

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will hold a Diploma (minimum) in ECEC or equivalent and have:

  • Knowledge and practical understanding of the NQF, EYLF and VEYLDF
  • Ability to implement programs that are inclusive and respond to the interests, strengths and learning needs of  individual children
  • Ability to critically reflect on practice
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team
  • Effective communication skills
