HVAC Service Technician - Rockhampton

Working out of Rockhampton, Queensland, the purpose of this position is to perform technical work on building services equipment, including chiller work, while supporting our service and project departments within the mechanical division

 

Overview

  • Display a solid understanding of air conditioning principles and systems and the relevant codes and industry standards which govern their installation and maintenance
  • Ability to effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature on air conditioning systems to minimise the number of call backs to a site
  • Effectively manage administrative requirements including call reports and timesheets
  • Conduct workplace audits and identify hazards in the workplace
  • Ability to determine job priorities and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes
  • Strengthening current customer relationships and create networking opportunities within the business community

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • HVAC & Refrigeration trade qualification is essential
  • Proven experience in the commercial and industrial service, maintenance and installation of equipment within the building services industry
  • Disconnect / Reconnect restricted electrical licence
  • National Arctic refrigerant handling licence
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Solid understanding of the relevant codes and industry standards within the field of work
