The Italian (Cannon Hill Tavern) has re-opened its doors with a new Italian menu, eatery and bar area. Cannon Hill Tavern, is an easy 25-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD, and conveniently located near public transport. With plenty of parking, lots of food, gaming and cold beers on tap, The Italian remains a great pub that locals love.

We are on the lookout for a Chef who is willing to work with both the front of house and kitchen team to deliver top quality food in our hotel. We challenge traditional pecking orders as we seek chefs who inspire, collaborate and contribute to an open, honest and comfortable workplace. 

 

What do I need to have?

  • To be successful you must be able to demonstrate a knowledge and passion for Italian food.
  • You’ll be responsible for actively engaging with our customers and serving excellent quality food and beverages.
  • You’ll be trade qualified:  Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Ideally you’ll have experience in Functions, A La Carte and Buffet.
  • Need to be flexible, as you will work rostered shifts including nights and weekends.
  • The desire to continually strive towards delivering the best customer experience whilst maximising food revenue across all hotel departments.
