Court Monitor - Perth

Epiq, Australia's premium supplier of transcription services, has offices across Australia providing court reporting, e-discovery, e-trials, and transcription services for government agencies, law firms and private clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day court monitoring and accurate annotating/recording of hearings as per the Epiq Monitoring Guide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality audio recording of hearings.
  • Produce high quality and accurate annotations of hearings.
  • To provide spellings of names, terminology, et cetera, to enable an accurate transcript to be produced.
  • To liaise with Epiq’s clients and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To maintain confidentiality whilst monitoring highly sensitive matters.
  • Uploading and converting various audio files/formats when required.
  • To adhere to company policies and procedures and take responsibility for own performance accordingly.
  • To travel and work outside of office locations including regional locations to record hearings when and if required.
  • Assist with office administration when and if required.
  • Assist other office locations when and if required.
  • Other duties as directed.

Minimum Experience

Six months to one year office based employment essential – within the last three years.

Additional Requirements

  • Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a roadworthy and insured motor vehicle.
  • Competent typing skills with a minimum of 50 wpm and 90% accuracy.
  • Attention to detail with high level in computer and proficiency using; Windows 10, Word, Excel and Adobe
  • Availability to travel anywhere in Australia.
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours.
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Police Clearance.
  • Must be able to start immediately.
  • Smart Office attire at all times.
