Mainframe IMS Guru

Our client, a small software company based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, requires an IMS guru to be available for ad-hoc consulting work.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Very strong IMS knowledge (administration, data structures, setup, maintenance, etc).
  • Good understanding of DB2.

The Work

  • We need someone who can assist with Proofs of Concept.
  • Our team has great technical knowledge in mainframe and more modern technologies, but has a hole in IMS (and to a lesser extent DB2) understanding.  So, you will help with filling in information, explaining data structures, etc.
  • This will be casual and very ad-hoc.  Might be 3 hours one week, zero the next 3 weeks, and then 20 hours the next week.  So it will suit someone who has other ad-hoc clients, who is semi-retired, or who just has work flexibility.

If this resonates with you, please apply ASAP, ensuring you've attached a resume in MS Word format.

A fuller position description and company overview will be discussed with shortlisted candidates prior to client submission.
