Youth Focus is Western Australia's leading youth suicide prevention organisation. The current vacancy represents rare opportunity to join its dynamic, professional and passionate corporate services team. 

Reporting to the General Manager, Finance and Corporate Services, this newly created opportunity will suit a dynamic individual who is proficient in delivering a high level and cost effective service in the area of Human Resources, Work Health and Safety (WHS) and business operations.  You will be an excellent communicator with a customer-service focus and an ability to engage with key stakeholders effectively at all levels.

Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide operational corporate services support, research, advice and issue resolution for the business.  You will lead, manage and a small team to ensure effective and efficient business operations and processes and the provision of accurate and timely services.

What’s involved?

  • Working in collaboration with the Human Resources Business Partner and Administration team, oversee the delivery of a proactive and best-practice Human Resources, Work Health and Safety and Administration service to the organisation.
  • Work in partnership with management teams to identify the people implications of business plans and to address workforce requirements that maximise productivity
  • Facilitating annual WHS audits, including testing of all necessary processes and equipment and for ensuring that Youth Focus remains compliant at all times.
  • Developing and maintaining preferred supplier arrangements where appropriate to ensure efficient and cost-effective service and product delivery
  • Planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems, creating ways to streamline processes
  • Initial key projects will involve:
    • Development of an annual workforce strategy
    • Designing and implementing of an organisation-wide wellness program

To succeed, you will have:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, WHS, Commerce or similar.
  • Relevant, substantial practical experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability in the management and achievement of successful outcomes in complex employee issues.
  • Demonstrated insight into key people management practices, including performance management and policy frameworks, and how these drive development of organisation cultures and performance outcomes.
  • High level of administrative and technical ability including experience with HRIS, Administration or WHS systems.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary work, health and safety, human resource management principles and practices, with relevant legislation, standards and industrial instruments.
  • A passion for helping young people is a must!
