About the role

At Bentleys, we are Thinking Ahead and our Innovation, Technology and Strategic Advisory team have worked hard to create a unique footprint within the firm. Through this they have built a strong client base with opportunities that have some exciting twists!  We have built upon the capability in the team over the years and are now looking for a Graduate to help us continue this growth journey as the team continues to provide technical and strategic services to our clients. This role will support the review of business/information system and development of business intelligent reporting solutions for a range of clients.

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Analyse existing systems, applications and functions to ensure strategic ICT objectives are met
  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and assist with determining business priorities for information systems
  • Provide advice about business and technical issues and solutions to assist with business requirements for new or existing solutions
  • Identify and document business and technical requirements ensuring that all customer requirements are understood and managed appropriately.
  • Identifying and implementing business intelligent reporting, data models and data analysis solutions for a range of clients
  • Working closely with clients in developing business requirements for reporting solutions, that are aligned with business objectives
  • Developing ‘Proof of Concept’ reporting solutions using appropriate business intelligent tools for internal and external stakeholders
  • Working with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and similar formula/data  expression languages to manipulate data
  • Compiling reports and providing analysis on data points, trends and insights.

About the Person

The role will suit an Information Technology/Business Information Systems graduate with a client-centric work style, who is looking to begin their full-time career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:

  • Previous work experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and a familiarity with data transformation and data model design
  • A design thinking mindset with an understanding of best practices for digital report designs
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate financial/business data into value add insights
  • Written and verbal skills in communicating financial information to a broad audience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective task and time management skills
  • A clear and professional communication style
  • A customer service approach
  • A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
  • Strong performance in your tertiary studies
