Perpetual Investments a leading ASX listed Australian Fund Manager is currently seeking a strong investment operations compliance professional. We manage over $30 billion of funds on behalf of major institutional investors and have a historic track record of success as a value investor.

This is a key role on the front line of a highly successful Fund Manager and one in which the successful applicant will possesses the drive and enthusiasm to work with

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced compliance analyst to join our high performing Investment Operations team. Reporting to the Investment Operations Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for performing compliance and risk control tasks. In addition, you will be tasked with reviewing investment strategies and new mandates to ensure they are in line with both internal and external portfolios.

The Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing Investment Compliance rules as per IMAs and Investment Strategy constraints
  • Contact for RBC Compliance Monitoring for implementation of rules and breach notifications
  • Interpret the methodology and calculations of compliance rules derived from investment constraints.
  • Investigating all compliance breaches and assist the investment teams on resolutions
  • Assist in the assessment of new IMAs and any subsequent amendments to ensure compliance rule adequacy and measurability.
  • Assisting the product teams in the appraisals of existing and new Investment Strategies
  • Periodic review of Compliance rules within the Investment Strategies and Mandates
  • Assist relevant teams on reporting of compliance breaches
  • Once competent on the tasks in this role you will also have responsibility for BAU Investment Operations tasks.

About You

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in funds management or related industry in a compliance and operational capacity.
  • Experience with compliance rule assessments and interpretation is strongly regarded
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Knowledge of equity markets and conventions
  • Solid people skills
