Economic Development & Tourism Officer

Hope & Glory is delighted to be working with this organisation in Melbourne's North East to support them in their search for an Economic Development and Tourism Officer. This is a full-time contract position running for an anticipated 3+ months, requiring an immediate start. 

You will be a creative thinker with an innovative approach to project and stakeholder management. You are prepared to roll up your sleeves to support the organisation’s strategic vision and direction.

Your skills, qualifications and experience will include (but not limited to):
  • Degree or Diploma in business, economic or tourism related discipline
  • Experience in a government related organisation
  • Experience in working at a high level with or for business groups, associations, boards, committees etc.
  • Experienced project and stakeholder coordination
  • Skill to research, learn and investigate when knowledge is required
  • The ability to implement and monitor projects, programs and activities within a budget
  • Stakeholder and community engagement. 
The hallmarks of your interpersonal style are maturity, resilience, passion and a genuine, authentic approach in all your stakeholder interactions.

The work is full-time and is based on site. The role is for an immediate start so is best suited for somebody currently between roles.
