Imaxeon also designs and manufactures a range of Imaxeon and Bayer branded contrast injection systems and associated consumables for the worldwide radiology market. Imaxeon contrast injectors are specifically designed to be economical, compact, mobile and reliable and appeal to the more value oriented user.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an engineering graduate to join the Imaxeon team in a Research and Development role. Key focus areas for this role are to assist in the mechanical design aspects of the development of new products and the maintenance of existing product designs. This role will have responsibilities for maintaining drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks, electro-mechanical technology conceptualisation and prototyping, and the documentation of testing and design activities.

Role and Responsiblities:

Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, to be successful in the role you will have capability in:
  •  Design and implement mechanical design of components and assemblies to support Radiology business product development.
  •  Support the production function by participating in Life Cycle Engineering efforts for current products.
  •  Keep up to date with the latest manufacturing and design technologies for both prototyping and production.
  •  Build, test and verify new mechanical components.
  •  Plan and document all activities as per company policies.
  •  Participate in the implementation, verification and maintenance of the risk management files for Imaxeon products.
  •  Conform to TGA, CE Mark, and EN ISO 13485:2003/AC:2007 guidelines associated with product development.
  •  Ability to work in multicultural, international environment.
  •  Strong analytical skills, and high ability in process thinking.
  •  A track record of successful implementation of programs / initiatives and the ability to overcome obstacles and successful implement  change.
  •  Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Who you are:

The preferred candidate will have:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics equivalent).
  • A recent graduate or a candidate with some work experience is desired.
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills.
  • Understanding of 3D modelling and engineering drawing Solidworks experience (or other CAD software).
  • Intuitive – displays a keen interest in evolving their mechanical engineering skills.
  • Collaborative – Ability to work within a small team and contribute to the team success.
  • Experience in Material Science   and injection moulding would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of document control systems this will be asked in the online application form on the website.
