A permanent full time team leader for a CBD city bank branch which enjoys an enviable reputation.

Your new company
Our client is a mutual banking organisation with a proud history in the regional Tasmania community. With offices across the northern part of Tasmania, and in the Hobart CBD. Working with a stable team, a well respected Branch Manager and with the support off head office, your contribution will be appreciated and valued.

Your new role
Based in the Hobart CBD, this is an excellent opportunity for a professional and experienced Team leader to commence work on a permanent full time basis. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day to day operational activities and a small team. You’ll also be responsible for;

  • Being the first point of contact for members entering the branch.
  • Stepping in to help the team promptly serve members as needed to perform Member Service Officer functions
  • Ensure the banks policies and procedures are carried out
  • Monitoring the compliance of direct reports ensuring they comply with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Providing relief duties as Service Centre Manager (Branch Manager) as required
  • Implementing relationship management strategies with guidance from the Branch Manager
  • Providing clear, specific support and training to employees to optimise performance
  • Responsible for developing a new team.


What you'll need to succeed
Holding a tier 2 accreditation (RG146), you’ll have a proven record as a team leader or supervisory role in banking or finance. With experience in a customer facing role within retail banking, you’ll be well versed in the banking industry and associate regulations. Gained by practical experience, you’ll have a broad depth of administration capabilities, and enjoy promoting a culture of high quality customer service. A certification IV in Banking Services would be advantageous.
