The Wireline Services Group is a progressive organisation providing specialist geophysical wireline logging and downhole directional services to some of the largest mining projects in Australia and worldwide. We have ongoing operations across Australia and the rest of the world, with head offices in Perth and Toronto.
About the role
This is a full-time permanent position. The Wireline Operator is a field-based position responsible for recording data from a range of geophysical wireline tools and directional drill hole surveying equipment. The successful candidate will work in remote locations both on mine and exploration sites throughout Australia and work both with drilling crews and autonomously after drilling has been completed.

Skills and experience
Due to our ongoing business expansion, we are looking for Operators who are self-motivated, enthusiastic, have a high work ethic and a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
If you are seeking a career in the mining industry, no previous mining experience is necessary. You will undertake a comprehensive and first-class training program at our Head Office in Perth prior to field based work. You will also receive ongoing mentoring and support to achieve the necessary skills required for your job.
You will be required to work both autonomously and as part of a team and demonstrate a commitment to high-quality workmanship and excellence. Along with a strong commitment to workplace safety, you will have proficient computer skills, strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Unrestricted Manual Driver's Licence (preferably MR or above)
- A National Police Clearance (or the ability to gain)
- Provide a valid First Aid Certificate (or the ability to gain)
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
