IT Helpdesk Officer

Vellex Pty Limited is a growing medium sized business offering freight distribution & warehousing services. We strive to lead the industry with high levels of customer service and to be the most respected Transport & Logistics provider.

In joining Vellex as the IT Helpdesk Officer at a level 2 capacity, you will be the first point of contact for all troubleshooting issues and IT support.

Key accountabilities include:

  1. Provide support to internal stakeholders.
  2. Responding to support requests and ensuring helpdesk tickets are logged and resolved in a timely manner.
  3. Ensuring incident and problem management processes and procedures are adhered to.
  4. Support for hardware & application issues for desktop, laptop, mobile, printers, and PDA's.
  5. Provide 1st & 2nd level Application support for the ERP System.
  6. Provide support with exceptional phone manner and strong customer service skills.

Skill requirements include:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in a Level 1-2 Helpdesk role.
  2. Ability to prioritise workloads and work with minimum supervision.
  3. Experience with administration of VMware ESXi and Virtual center server.
  4. Able to demonstrate exposure to an ITIL environment (ITIL certifications desirable).
  5. Desktop support experience in Windows.
  6. Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation for existing and new processes.
  7. Experience in Active Directory user setup and Group policy management.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  1. Experience supporting an RDP/Terminal server environment.
  2. Previous exposure to supporting a Transport Management System.
  3. Experience with VEEAM backup Software (backup and restore).
  4. Experience supporting Mobile devices (Apple/ Android, Windows CE) including mobile device management (MDM) software experience.
  5. Experience with supporting VOIP phones and PBX administration.

Qualifications

  1. Certificate III in Information Technology or greater. (documents to be provided).
  2. Able to be flexible with working hours to cover early/late shifts as required and work occasional weekends.
