Property Officer

  • Provide high level support regarding property and fleet matters
  • Small supportive and collaborative team based in Hobart
  • 12 month full time assignment
 
About the company
Our client is a relatively new and rapidly expanding organisation assisting people with disabilities to access mainstream and community services as well as maintaining informal support via family and friends. These services include housing, health, education, sporting facilities and libraries.

About the role
As the first point of contact for colleagues in relation to property and fleet matters you will be providing a high quality, professional, friendly and respectful management of all enquiries and issues. There will also be a considerable amount of internal and external stakeholder engagement where your exceptional people skills will be put to good use. Your duties will include:
  • Supporting day to day building access and fleet activities
  • High level administrative support to the Property Team & Fleet
  • Act as a point of contact for facility services and repairs
  • Provide information and effective support to internal & external stakeholders
  • Follow up of property issues and liaising with the facilities team, tradespeople and contractors
  • Assist the property team to maintain sites in accordance with the strategic property plan
 
Skills & experience
  • Strong demonstrated administration skills and advanced computer literacy
  • Ability to work under limited direction
  • Proven experience in fleet coordination including registration, Navman PIN access, dealership liaison, fleet servicing, inspection and driver assistance support
  • Demonstrated previous ability to support building access activities including maintenance of the access card register, the key safe, key register, staff building access requests and visitor access
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills
  • Able to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm efficient manner
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of disability and is impact on individuals
  • Able to obtain a working with children or vulnerable people check
  • Having an in depth understanding or hands on experience in the field of disability is highly desirable
