Aviation Administration Officer

CareFlight is an Australian not-for-profit aeromedical organisation. Our mission is to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community.

We operate from locations in NSW, northern WA and the Top End of the NT. Our specially trained doctors, nurses and paramedics use helicopters, aeroplanes, medi-jets and road ambulances to bring a hospital level of care to over 5,000 patients each year. We also deploy medical professionals to remote oil, gas & mining sites, both onshore and offshore.

 

The role

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Aviation Administration Officer in our Northern Operations.  Located at our Darwin base, this role will require you to support CareFlight’s Aviation division. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • arranging travel, accommodation and car hire bookings;
  • providing administrative and PA support to Aviation management and key personnel, including the Chief Pilot;
  • preparing / formatting correspondence and documentation using a range of applications;
  • assisting to produce reports;
  • undertaking internal auditing procedures and document control; and
  • other general administrative duties when required.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

  • the ability to establish and maintain good relationships with employees and their stakeholders;
  • a high standard of computer literacy with excellent Word and Excel skills;
  • fast and accurate data entry skills;
  • sound written and verbal communication;
  • a proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a continually changing environment;
  • a current driver’s licence; and
  • the ability to hold and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Knowledge of Air Maestro or other roster planning programme.
  • Previous experience with booking travel arrangements.
  • An understanding of Aviation Terminology.
