Your new company
For the past 35 years our client has been in the Import & distribution space for the construction industry. They are a medium sized business that operates internationally as well as Australia wide. In the past 3 years they have experienced a rapid growth period and are looking for a new member to join their team. The client prides themselves in having a great work culture which they refer to as their extended family. If you are looking for a family environment in a rapidly expanding company then this role is for you.


Your new role

In your new role you will be reporting to the company finance manager and you will be responsible for the following:

  • Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations and clear discrepancies items timely and accurately.
  • Assist with month end and year end processes, including reviewing the P&L and Balance Sheet. Complete journals as necessary.
  • Assist with taxation matters, e.g. payroll and superannuation lodgements
  • Assist with financial analysis on operational expenses and revenue in various perspectives. Liaise with departmental managers if required.
  • Assist with financial reporting in different spectrum's.
  • Review and identify business process improvements.
  • Document existing and new processes.
  • Complete fixed asset capitalisation and maintenance.




What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ Years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant role
  • Experience in Overseas payments and trade loans would be highly desirable
  • Experience in a construction industry also highly desirable
  • Pronto Experience or experience with another large ERP
