The Role 

Epworth Freemasons seeks a professional Patient Administration Officer for the role of admissions and reception clerk.

The successful candidate will be a team member who will love to work in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on customer service and accurate data entry, and who takes pride and ownership in their work and wants to be part of a growing organisation. On the job training in the systems will be provided.  

This is a casual position and requires flexibility to work multiple shifts, morning, afternoons, evenings, weekday and weekends. 

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Previous patient admissions and/or reception experience in a health care setting
  • Strong customer service with a focus on patient centred care
  • A professional presentation and attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cohesively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative department with patients, visitors, medical and non-medical personnel

Epworth Freemasons also provides comprehensive cancer care, along with a full range of surgical services, including the latest robotic assisted surgery, orthopaedics and ICU care. 

It is an exciting time to join Epworth Freemasons, having only recently been upgraded we have commenced a major redevelopment that will represent a generational change for our Clarendon Street hospital with construction underway to provide more consulting suites, operating theatres and improvements to patient amenity.

We are constructing a 12-level tower and buildings that will link to create significant onsite consulting opportunities for specialists, additional state-of-the-art theatres, expanded oncology services and extensive underground on-site car parking. We are also upgrading our maternity service facilities at our Victoria Parade campus in 2018.
