Administration Officer

Applications are invited from highly motivated, enthusiastic staff with excellent communication, keyboard/computer and time management skills for the position of Receptionist to be rostered over 7 days and Ward Clerk to be rostered Monday to Friday office hours. Candidates must be available to work full time when required. Professional presentation and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.

These positions report to the administration Manager and are responsible for the data entry relating to admission and discharge of patients/clients utilising the appropriate ACHA IT systems and processes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Sound customer service and communication skills
  • Advanced problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience working with Word & Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Current Police Clearance working with Aged/Children/Vulnerabl


Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Private Health Funds
