Administration Project Support Officer


About this role

The role of Administration and Project Support Officer will provide the key administration and project support function for the Work Safety and Wellbeing Unit. In particular, the role will provide administrative support and assistance to the Health and Injury Management Team in the development and maintenance of effective administration systems and document and information management processes aimed at streamlining claims management and rehabilitation processes.

About you

Your success in this role will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘About this role', the ideal person for this role will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire, general knowledge of legislation, policies and guidelines relating to work safety and wellbeing, health and injury management.
  • General organisational skills and personal qualities to provide high quality, timely and efficient administration and project support services to the unit and general advice to clients including injured workers and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire, a sound level of ability in the use of information management systems such as RiskMan and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and coordinate activities and reporting requirements in a team environment to meet established deadlines.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven strong work ethic, initiative, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
