Your Position

Due to the tremendous growth of our organisation, an exciting position has become available for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. 

Our Engineering Department is responsible for the design, specification and commissioning of material handling systems for a wide range of industries and customers. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll be working mainly on the mechanical functionality of our systems, although to reach a complete design you'll also work closely together with colleagues from other disciplines. Based out of Vanderlande Industries modern North Sydney head office, you will travel to and work on various sites around Australia. 

Your Core Tasks

  • Participate in system design
  • Drafting of systems in conjunction with the Layout Engineers
  • Translate customer drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system
  • Optimize the functionality from as-sold to a working mechanical design within the budget in consultation with other disciplines (Controls, Supply Chain, Installation, etc.)
  • Engineer non-standard mechanical interfaces
  • Apply safety regulations
  • Provide installation site support

Your Position Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering;
  • 5 years working experience;
  • Effective and relevant CAD experience mandatory, AutoCAD preferred;
  • Knowledge of industrial automation and material handling equipment will be highly regarded;
