Summary

Due to recent rapid growth and a number of exciting initiatives planned for 2019/2020, Deputy is searching for a self-motivated, dynamic Project Manager to create, coordinate and drive the completion of project plans relating to our key strategic initiatives. You will report to the Program Manager in the Operations team, and work closely with them. You will also be autonomous and responsible for your assigned projects.

 

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and facilitator, and should demonstrate a keen attitude towards effective delivery against stated goals, managing unexpected blockers and bringing people together to work successfully as a unit.

 

Responsibilities "The What":

  • Drive projects, and work on the end to end project lifecycle. Be self sufficient with doing your own project administration and support on projects.
  • Work cross functionally and manage both up and down the hierarchy.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities within the business.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, actioning tasks where needed.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to business.
  • Effectively integrate best practice Project Management methodology with needs of the business.
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on projects.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Adhoc duties requested by the business from time to time

 

Skills & Experience "The How":

  • Project Management experience - minimum 2-3 years internal or agency end to end experience with a strong ability to blend best practice project management with the needs of the business.
  • Operational background - can get involved and “do” when needed
  • Adaptability - has the ability to work in a fast paced ever changing  startup environment
  • Strong communicator - can effectively and confidently communicate to all levels of the business
  • Initiative - able to work independently and find the best way to get results
  • Process Improvement - continually reviews projects during and post implementation to understand better ways of working
  • Strategic thinker - can look at a problem and think of new and exciting ways of solving it
  • Suitable professional project management qualification - Prince2, PMP, or PMBOK

 

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working cross functionally and can demonstrate ability to manage both up and down the hierarchy
  • Experience working in high growth/change environment - can keep up with the pace of change  
  • Bachelors degree or similar type qualification with superior academic standing (including such qualifications as marketing, business, science, engineering).
