Area Sales Manager

MaxiTRANS has an ambitious strategy to be the most successful supplier of equipment, solutions, parts and services to the road transport industry throughout Australasia. This will be achieved through focusing on efficiency and effectiveness in what we offer today and through growth in existing and new markets. The growth plan is motivated with a strategy mapped out across key areas by 2021.

As part of the MaxiTRANS sales team, the primary objective of the Area Sales Manager role is to maximize the overall MaxiTRANS business within the designated region and implement market activities and initiatives to achieve and exceed business revenue and margin targets and customer service levels.

Reporting directly to the State Sales Manager, the successful candidate will possess experience in a sales focused role, have a successful and proven track record as a successful area and/or sales representative and most importantly an enthusiasm and passion for sales.

Skills

  • Robust negotiation skills and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify customer needs and provide solutions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High levels of resilience and problem solving skills
  • Excellent relationship skills
  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant commercial equipment sales experience would be considered advantageous
  • 5 years within the commercial equipment sector         

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business development opportunities by growing and developing your existing client base.
  • Deliver the optimum volume and commercial targets
  • Facilitate service levels that meet or exceed customers' expectations
  • Promote strong long-term customer relationships across all levels within the customer base.
