You'll be immersed in a fast-paced, high volume environment where no two days are the same. You’ll provide key analytical support through a variety of tasks such as conducting reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and analysing and preparing financial reports.

About You

You've gained a couple of years of experience as an assistant accountant already, but you're ambitious and looking to be part of a high performing team and really push yourself to the limits of your accounting knowledge and beyond.

You’re now after an opportunity to focus on your main passion; analysis. From reviewing operational expenses to assisting with taxation matters, you thrive in a hands on role and have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge when it comes to evaluating financial performance.

You're obsessed with finding patterns, and spotting discrepancies could almost be described as a hobby of yours. You have your own stringent processes in place so you never a miss a digit or a dollar. 

You may be halfway through your CPA, feeling quite confident about your technical skills and are ready to challenge yourself and your career in a critical role within a growing company.
  

About The Role

This is a big role and one to get excited about. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll add significant value by:
  • Preparing financial analysis and reports to drive improved financial performance
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating transactions
  • Reviewing and identifying business process improvements
  • Documenting existing and new processes
  • Managing the fixed asset register
  • Providing back up support to the accounts receivable functions by creating customer accounts, processing debtor payments and following up on any discrepancies
  • Providing support to the accounts payable function by entering invoices into the accounting system and assisting with analysis to improve the creditor payment process
  
Selection Criteria

In order to truly have an impact and be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
  • A degree in Business or Accounting
  • Demonstrable experience and success in an accounting role
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
