Control Systems Assembly Technician

Aquatec Fluid Systems are leading water innovation partners to the water and waste water industries. We provide turn-key systems for a wide range of environmental sewerage & water infrastructure solutions, including large scale developments, councils, water authorities and extensive retail and channel partners.

We are seeking a Control Systems Assembly Technician to join our ever growing team based in Shepparton.  This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, passionate person who is looking to develop their career, and learn new skills in a supportive environment.

 

About the position

As the Control Systems Assembly Technician you will primarily build and co-ordinate the assembly of Aquatec control panels and ensure they are fit for application. You will require an understanding of electrical control panel design, along with their inputs e.g. single and three phase pumps, floats and transducer level control. With time a basic understanding of the programming would be expected. At all times work must be done with your safety and the end users safety in mind.

You will also be required to support other areas of the production team. This may involve assembly of pressure sewer systems, dispatch, receival, service support and onsite installs. You will have the ability to identify areas of efficiency and productivity and drive change. You will have ownership of your area.

Some of your primary tasks would include:

  • Assemble control panels
  • Assist with building complete systems within our standard product range and support in meeting the production team’s needs.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvements
  • Ownership of the panel room; to be kept tidy and organised.

 

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Good attention to detail;
  • A current drivers licence;
  • The ability to learn quickly and who is self-motivated;
  • Prior experience in assembly of control panels and systems desirable. but any experience with electronics assembly will be beneficial.
  • Competent with computers
  • A high degree of initiative
