Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Administration Officers for roles at the Curragh Mine in Blackwater. 

In this role, you will join a small, dynamic Administration Team who are responsible for providing effective and efficient Administration Services for the Curragh Mine.

The specific accountabilities for the Administration Officer will include:

  • Preparation, collation and distribution of documentation and correspondence;
  • Managing telephone, email and front desk inquiries;
  • General administration services to onsite operational departments;
  • Coordination of staff, contractor and visitor travel and requirements;
  • General data entry;
  • Small project coordination such as uniform distribution, general business improvement projects;
  • Coordinating work requests, purchase requisitions through to completion including receipting and distribution; and
  • Assisting the Administration Supervisor with supporting Senior Leaders when required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in all areas of administrative support;
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with strong customer service focus;
  • Be able to follow direction, work as part of a team, have a proactive approach and the ability to use initiative when required;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and professionalism;
  • Have advanced time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise; and solve problems;
  • Possess Advanced Microsoft Office skills across the suite of applications including but not limited to (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and an aptitude to further develop business application knowledge; and
  • Certificate III in Business Administration and/or a minimum of 2 years administration experience.
