Relief Customer Service Officer - based in George St (12 month contract)

Based in our flagship George Street branch with travel to other Sydney branches. You will also be required to travel to our interstate branches and in regional areas from time to time.

About the Role

This is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months. In this role you will be reporting to the Customer Service Manager working within the branch network. The role provides advice, excellent customer service and assistance to our members. You will be required to work additional hours from time to time.

Promoting our HCF policies and services you will find the right products for our members and create a great customer experience. You will advise our members of their policy benefits and any changes that may occur to ensure our members our communicated to effectively.

Role responsibilities will include:

  • Perform needs based selling to customers face to face for HCF health insurance policies with exposure to potentially sell Life and Travel policies.
  • Achieve and exceed sales and service targets. 
  • Perform telephone and email sales including business development activities. 
  • Provide first contact resolution in all customer interactions.
  • Ensure membership information is entered into the HCF computer system in accordance with HCF policy and procedure
  • Cooperate with HCF in relation to activities taken by the company to comply with WHS legislation
  • Seek and be open to regular and appropriate feedback; taking appropriate actions to incorporate feedback into daily activities.

About you

  • Have demonstrated experience or an aspirational drive to sell to members and provide a great customer experience
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Competent in using CRM computer systems or the ability to quickly learn complex computer systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt positively to frequently changing work practices and needs
  • Aligns with HCF culture and values
