Administration Assistant / PA (term time position)

Toowoomba Anglican School was founded in 1911 and celebrates a rich tradition of excellence in academic and boarding provisions.  Staff at TAS lead by example, as there is a high expectation of students with regard to personal conduct and social responsibility.

We are looking for a highly skilled administrator to join our team in a term time position as support for the Head of Secondary years.

Displaying a high degree of initiative and having a proactive attitude, the Administration Assistant will provide superior organisational and administrative support.

The Administration Assistant will be one of the first points of contact for staff, parents and external parties. Some of the tasks for the position are listed below.

  •  Administrative support including correspondence, organising meetings and general PA duties;
  • Assist with organising school camps, activities and events (including RSVP's and invites);
  • Assist with Academic reports and timetabling;
  • Assist with data collection for laptop program, subject selections and other secondary programs;
  • Assist with administration requirements for the WHS requirements for the Secondary years;
  • Organising parent teacher interviews, student leadership requirements and assisting with ensuring that reporting requirements and submissions relating to Secondary Education compliance are met.

This position would suit a person with outstanding administration skills and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will need to possess the following attributes and skills:

  • At least five years' experience in an office environment including time providing executive administrative support.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Confidence utilising and improving databases.
  • Experience in school administration (desirable).
  • Ability to maintain a high level of efficiency in a busy environment.
  • Professional, friendly personality along with the ability to build authentic and collaborative relationships.
  • Diplomacy in dealing with others, strong customer service skills and a pleasant manner.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card.
