High Performance Coach - Cricket ACT

About the role

The role will assist with the design, implementation and review of individual and team coaching programs across both senior and emerging pathways. Additionally, the role is responsible for assisting with the development of identified coaches across the entire pathway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the Meteors Head Coach for all pre-competition and match day preparation for WNCL games
  • In conjunction with the Meteors Head Coach, drive individual player improvement and performance outcomes
  • Provide best practice pathway coaching support to facilitate the development of squads and individual players in both the male and female pathways
  • Assist with the design and implementation of educational programs for accredited coaches
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in coaching elite athletes and/or playing experience and qualifications commensurate with the requirements of the position
  • Highly developed knowledge and understanding of cricket or coaching pedagogy with a preparedness to embrace current coaching trends and developments
  • Minimum Representative (Level 2) Cricket Coaching Accreditation (Cricket Australia or equivalent)
  • Proven success in team/individual cricket coaching
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

The successful candidate will also need to hold a current drivers licence, first aid certificate and Working with Vulnerable People Card.
