Property Analyst

The Position

Reporting to the Director – Property of the East Coast office, a key responsibility of this position, as a member of the analyst team, will be to support deal origination at a national level from initial scoping through to deal execution as follows:

  • Provide a high-level assessment of deals;
  • Generate comprehensive feasibilities of deals that pass the initial assessment, this includes building the feasibility and financial models where one does not exist;
  • Manage the due diligence process with the assistance of the origination team;
  • Provide key content for the information report prepared for the investment committee (based on the above); and
  • Manage reporting and analytics behind: acquisitions, board reporting and budgeting.

Projects include a range of asset classes including; apartments, land subdivisions, office, industrial, hotels and shopping centres, ensuring no work day is ever the same.

The role will also involve assisting with forecasting and performance metrics for the broader business and the board.

The Person

As the successful applicant, you will have a passion for analytics and a strong interest in Excel with advanced skills (to both update existing and create new models). Specific property experience will be well regarded:

  • Qualification(s) in Finance/Commerce (Majoring in Analytics, Research, Economics or Real Estate Finance);
  • Strong administration skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; 
  • Keen problem-solving capabilities;
  • A hard-working, diligent nature; and 
  • VBA experience preferred.

Salary is negotiable based on the successful applicant's skills and experience.
