Scope is a not-for-profit organisation supporting individuals with physical, intellectual and multiple disabilities and developmental delays to achieve their goals, providing services to thousands of people across more than 100 locations. Operating within the new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) environment, Scope is on a journey to evolve its marketing and fundraising capabilities – this position will be critical in helping to shape that evolution and growth.

As the Marketing & Fundraising Manager, you will oversee a team of three (3) professionals operating across marketing and fundraising to support the strategic direction of the organisation through managing marketing campaigns and fundraising programs.

You will undertake a range of activities including (but not limited to):
  • Lead and support a cross-functional team of three (3)
  • Develop contemporary acquisition and retention marketing initiatives.
  • Manage local area marketing.
  • Conduct market research and consolidate existing market and competitor intelligence.
  • Develop a deep understanding of current industry trends and identify emerging market needs.
  • Determine brand positioning using a customer-centric lens.
  • Develop and manage the donor acquisition strategy and the Scope bequest program.
  • Oversee corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations.
  • Develop digital fundraising capabilities.
To be considered for this role, your application likely shows the following:
  • Strong people leadership expertise across cross-functional teams.
  • Significant marketing, brand and communications expertise, ideally within the commercial sector.
  • Exposure to a fundraising or philanthropic function (desirable).
  • Contemporary knowledge of utilising data analytics and research.
  • Strong strategic capability coupled with the ability to execute.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing positive stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
  • Effective project management and organisation skills.
  • Confident negotiation skills and strong commercial acumen.
  • The ability to work in a complex, fast-paced operating environment.
  • Relevant degree qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
You will be joining a dedicated and hard-working culture at a significant time in their evolution. You are a qualified and hands-on practitioner who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and support the organisation through a period of significant transformation. The hallmarks of your interpersonal style are maturity, resilience, creativity and authenticity.

We ask that you please consider your suitability against the criteria outlined above and then apply online. All applications will be acknowledged, and your interest will be treated in strictest confidence.

Please note that as part of Hope & Glory's standard pre-employment process, background checking including criminal history, qualifications verification and rights to work checks will be conducted. A Working with Children Check is also a requirement for this organisation.
