About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an all rounder to actively contribute to and take responsibility for the Front Counter and all face-to-face customer enquiries at our Welshpool depot. Reporting to the PECS Team Leader, the key purpose of this role is to provide a consistent and professional level of service to assist the depot to achieve its operational objectives and excel in customer service. This position is a full time position. Hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

In this role, your duties will include:

  • Safe, secure and timely processing of all freight (both inbound and outbound)
  • Assist customers with their freight requirements and collections at the Depot face to face.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all internal and external clients
  • Forklift Operation
  • Manual handling
  • Handling Unidentified and damaged freight
  • General housekeeping

About you

To be successful in this position we require people who:

  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Coupled with ability to work unsupervised & display initiative in the workplace
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service & communication (both verbal & written) skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent availability and flexible with working hours
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and determined
  • Physically fit
  • Forklift licence mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to safely & efficiently load/unload vehicles both manually & with a forklift
  • Administration experience advantageous 
  • General computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience in an operational environment
