Receptionist

Start date: 03/06/2019
End date: 30/08/2019 (with possible extension)
Pay rate: $30 per hour plus super
Location:  Parramatta, 
Hours of work: 7hours a day, 35hours a week (5 days a week)


NO OVERTIME
Must have the flexibility to start at 8am or finish at 5pm on an agreed rotational basis.

Essential elements of the role:
  • 1-2 years experience in reception
  • Sector background government, call centre, customer service would be advantageous

The primary purpose of the role is to operate a main switchboard, providing front line customer service delivery to internal and external customers.
  • This role also provides support to another business unit.
  • The role will involve undertaking reception duties for EDConnect centre at Parramatta
  • Key features of the role include triaging phone calls.
  • The Department's switchboard operates as the first contact for external and internal callers. The switchboard receives between 200-300 calls per day dealing with a broad range of enquiries and topics.

Essential:
  • Strong communication skills required to contact a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite - testing performed
  • Systems experience required- Telstra Contact Centre Software would be advantageous but the business will train the selected candidate so not necessary
