For this opportunity, you will be based onsite for one of our clients, a major Government Agency in the Health Sector and based in North Sydney.

The opportunity

As an experienced Data Analyst, you will Provide timely and efficient administration, analysis and technical support for the information technology systems, databases and application tools used within the Data Integration Unit.

Some of your responsibilities will be: 
  • Coordinate and perform extraction of records from data repositories in accordance with relevant ethical and administrative approvals.
  • Maintain systems for the Data Integration Unit to manage virtual repositories of current and historical population data. Contribute to the automation of Integration tasks to enhance productivity.
  • Undertake safe and effective exchange of data with data custodians.
  • management, quality assurance methods and software to improve the quality and efficiency of the  integration services and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the IT Branch in the development and implementation of IT procedures, policy and protocols.
  • Liaise with external organisations on matters relating to the internal database systems, encryption of files and records, and electronic exchange of data.

Role requirements
  • Proven experience working in a similar role (Data Analyst, Data Master, DBA or Systems Analyst) 
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SAS and SQL Database query languages
  • Previous experience working for a Government Agency a plus
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously with little to no supervision
