About the Role

We are looking for experienced Lifestyle and Leisure assistants to join our team. As a valued member of the team, you will be supporting the NDIS participants to develop independent living skills in a centre based model as well as in our social group program. The program sees our customers experiencing and participating in current events with their peers, such as sporting games, concerts, musicals, art sessions, theme parks and dining out. If you love socialising, interacting and can bring fun, excitement and enthusiasm to all our events, this role is for you!

The successful person will be required to travel between Slacks Creek Service Centre and our Head Office at Darra, and is offered on a casual basis.

Experience in working with young children with autism will be highly regarded.  

Key Responsibilities

As a Lifestyle and Leisure Assistant, you will be required to:

  • Facilitating our customers to participate in social, recreation and skills development programs
  • Sourcing suitable activity options
  • Providing personal care and manual handling assistance to customers
  • General administrative tasks

Skills & Experience

  1. Valid Blue Card and Yellow Card
  2. Current First Aid and CPR tickets (or able to obtain one)
  3. Minimum Cert III in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience
  4. A current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for service provision
  5. Be physically healthy and fit to be able to provide physical and personal care to customers with a disability
  6. Proficiency in correct manual handling
  7. Experience in supporting customers to meet their goals through various programs and activities
