Learning Enrichment Teacher

We aim to develop each student’s love of learning, love of others and love of God. In this way, students become people of heartfelt service, intellect, leadership and integrity. Our goal is to grow students’ critical thinking and personal capacity, equipping them with the skills necessary to be successful, productive and responsible global citizens.

Reporting to the Learning Enrichment Team Leader, the Learning Enrichment Teacher role is responsible for providing class teachers with strategies, advice and resources to ensure learning outcomes are maximised for students with additional support needs and high academic potential.

NBCS is currently expanding the Learning Enrichment Team and is particularly looking to increase resources in the Secondary and Primary to Secondary cross over year.

Requirements:

  • degree qualified in Learning Support/Enrichment with up to date knowledge of developments and legislation
  • solid experience in assessing and catering for students with diverse needs to maximise their learning outcomes
  • a repertoire and desire to share teaching strategies to suit the physical, social and intellectual development of a range of students
  • experience in coordinating and creating ILPs, implementing flexible curriculum and assessment
  • evidence of effective and collaborative teaching practice
  • proven ability to develop strong rapport with students, teachers and parents
  • organisational skills

Prerequisites

  • current NESA accreditation
  • an active Christian faith and current church commitment
  • Working With Children check approval number
