The Person/Role

Reporting to the National Marketing Manager and working from our Head Office in Pemulwuy (Greystanes area), you will be a recent marketing graduate with the skills/abilities to join and compliment our National Marketing team.

This position will be challenging, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy and is an excellent opportunity for the right person to build their marketing career with Makita (Australia).

Working in a fast paced environment, you will be involved in assisting with projects undertaken by the Marketing team and gain experience in a variety of marketing areas including product, pricing, promotion and administration tasks.

What skills and experience will you bring to this role?

  • Recent degree qualification in Marketing (essential);
  • Some experience in marketing as an intern (essential);
  • Enthusiastic 'can do' attitude with the ability to follow projects through to completion;
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook;
  • Strong computer and keyboard skills for data entry;
  • Highly organised and able to manage/prioritise workload whilst sticking to deadlines;
  • Accurate with high attention to detail;
  • Clear and precise communication skills together with the ability to learn and understand technical product;
  • Flexible enough to be part of a team yet work autonomously as required.
  • Some knowledge/use of power tools & accessories and outdoor power equipment;
