ASSISTANT PRODUCT MANAGER - MAKEUP, ANZ

We are currently seeking the services of an experienced and dedicated Assistant Product Manager – Makeup to support the Senior Product Manager, Fragrance and  Beauty Products (FBP). This role is key in supporting the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for the makeup portfolio with a focus on brand image, budgets and revenue targets.

You will have responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Assist in the preparation of the relevant product plans, contributing creative solutions and brand plans as required (including Marketing Calendar and other working documents);
  • Develop, recommend and implement local strategies and marketing plans through category analysis and consumer insight to grow the Makeup category;
  • Review, develop and implement FBP sampling program, budget to allocation, actualizing on an ongoing basis to fit within Budget constraints;
  • Work with Visual Merchandising team on the implementation and execution of launch plans (including in store launches, Point of Sales materials and in store set ups);
  • Prepare, plan and reconcile all new campaign forecasts and budgets for both selling stock and testers;
  • Manage the promotional expenditure and ensure that purchase orders and expenses remain within approved parameters;
  • Liaise with the supply chain department on campaigns to ensure accurate delivery of stocks and maintenance of stock levels.

This role is best suited for a candidate who is able to demonstrate strong capabilities in the areas of marketing, consumer analytics and project management. In order to be successful, we also require you to hold the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of the luxury industry and brand management;
  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related discipline;
  • At least 3 years’ experience in marketing, which preferably includes a minimum of 2 years in a similar role;
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Good attention to detail, strong prioritization skills and the ability to multitask;
  • Confident with strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
