About the Opportunity:

We have a fulltime, permanent opportunity available for a recent graduate or someone in the early career to join our talented Consumer Sales Field team as an Area Sales Manager looking after the Corporate Grocery channel.

Your growth and hunger to win mindset will drive your contribution to promote and develop KC’s consumer brands into selected key customer accounts. If you are a results driven person with a passion for building strong and influential relationships with diverse stakeholders this could be the opportunity you have been searching for.

With the support from the Regional Sales Manager, your first 18 months as an Area Sales Manager will:

  • Undergo a comprehensive induction and training program, learning about the company, culture and role
  • Develop your insights and experience into the competitive Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
  • Gain great exposure and build your fundamental sales skills
  • Be given the tools and opportunity grow your territory, optimise distribution and develop strong customer relationships
  • Begin preparing for future roles through completing development projects in both peer group teams and individually

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain superior relationships through effective and efficient work practices with our key Grocery customers within the designated territory through excellent quality calls.
  • Develop and implement successful customer specific business plans to ensure sales and share targets are met for all product categories within budgeted spends
  • Ensure all business dealings are conducted in compliance with the Trade Practices Act and the Company’s Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and internal controls to protect the Company and its assets.
  • Utilise initiative, planning, time management and selling skills to identify opportunities to increase sales and ensure maximum return from your total territory
  • Achieve business objectives through establishing and following safe workplace practices consistent with KCA policies and guidelines
  • Establish and maintain accurate customer records through the use of computer based tools such as iPads and 'STARS'

Skills & Experience:

  • Recent Graduate from a business related degree preferable
  • Experience in FMCG industry or account management is desirable
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to plan
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong time management skills
  • Strong negotiation and ability to achieve sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Self-imposed standards of excellence will see you succeed in this role
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
