Food Production Machine Operators/Mixers/Packing Line Operators - Shift Work

Location – Braeside, Melbourne (2 locations)

Hours of Work – Various shifts AM and PM available

Laurent Bakery has always been driven by love and respect for the craft of French artisan baking and exists as a homage to the values of a village bakery.  

In order to maintain our exceptional product standards and continued smooth running of our factories, we are looking for outstanding and experienced line operators, Fork Lift Drivers (Freezer) and Packers.

As one of our new team members you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent comprehension of written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to follow instructions to the letter
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong work ethics and a positive attitude
  • Competent mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to be flexible under changing environment and workloads
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple processes
  • Ability to show initiative and question when in doubt
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously

Other requirements:

  • Experience in the dairy/food/pharmaceutical/FMCG or a GMP environment is desirable
  • Self-motivated
  • Have strong organisational and problem solving skills
  • Be committed to Good Manufacturing Practices with attention to detail.
  • Capable and willing to be multi-skilled
  • A team player with strong mechanical skills
  • Able to show a history of operating technical equipment and machinery.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to follow SOP’s and OM’s
  • Able to comply with all Safety and Quality requirements
  • Required to clean mobile equipment and work centres (job dependent)
  • Required to operate, clean and set up manufacturing equipment (job dependent)

This role is pivotal in providing all our cafés and customers with the bread that has made Laurent Bakery famous, Australian wide.
