Quality Manager

The Role:

Navantia Australia are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join the team in its Sydney CBD office.

As the Quality Manager, you will be supporting the Operations Division and working with Program Managers in transforming Navantia Australia’s quality documentation and processes to a modern digital system. As the ideal candidate, you will come with strong project management experience and bring with you a wealth of knowledge in quality management systems and governance, preferably working in a systems engineering environment.

We are looking for an energetic and proactive quality professional who really thrives on delivering effective and efficient quality management systems and really wants to make a difference in redefining and implementing quality management processes for Navantia Australia. Ideally, you will be a certified auditor who can assist with the systems certifications (e.g.  WHS, Environmental, Assets management)  

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance to the ISO9001 and managing the compliance by the programs to quality requirements detailed in the contracts
  • Management of the company audit processes in relation to the adherence to the Quality Management System
  • Defining quality requirements for suppliers and introduce a monitoring process to understand their compliance
  • Work with stakeholders and lead efficiency programs and process improvement initiatives
  • Work with the company functions to develop a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) regime and support the evaluation against these KPIs
  • Developing a process that allows the Executive Committee to make decisions based on data around compliance to the quality management system including the QMS management  reviews
  • Maintaining and promoting the use of the Quality Assurance tool (SAP QM) and the Knowledge Library (Sharepoint DMS / Wiki)
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives

 

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management or related discipline
  • Proven skills and experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems
  •  Professional auditing experience preferable
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and developing metrics and KPIs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and clients
  • Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance to a minimum of Baseline.
  • Experience in using MS Office suite, SAP and Sharepoint
