The Role:

Working within the Data Analysis and Reporting team in the Improvement, Policy and Reporting Group, the Data and Reporting Analyst’s main purpose is to provide support to both the Manager Data Analysis and Reporting and Senior Data and Reporting Analyst in the analysis of complaint trends, utilising internal and external data sources.

 Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and disseminate operational reports
  • Develop accurate and reliable reporting to meet stakeholders needs
  • Ensure consistency in best practice reporting
  • Analyse TIO complaints data to proactively identify trends and data issues and to support organisational projects
  • Utilise statistical analysis techniques to better understand the TIO’s data and the relationships between data and case outcomes
  • Source data from external sources (such as market data) to enhance understanding of TIO data and key market developments

 Your skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Commerce or similar
  • Experience in statistical analysis of organisational data sets and demonstrated capacity to undertake qualitative research using a range of methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (SQL/R experience or similar desired)
  • Experience in managing competing priorities and deadlines and ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Experience in the use of MS Office plus reporting and data analysis software
  • Highly developed verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability
  • Knowledge of Business Objects, Crystal or other business intelligence tools are desirable but not essential
