PROJECT ARCHITECT / ARCHITECTS / EXPERIENCED GRADUATES

John Wardle Architects (JWA) is a highly creative design studio recognised for the quality of its award-winning, projects of incredible breadth and diversity. JWA’s work ranges from small to large scale and includes single houses, significant educational and public projects, health, multi-residential and commercial projects and urban design, that can be found throughout Australia. Our collaborative ethos also extends to partnerships with interstate and international practices.

THE ROLES

The outlook in our studio has identified the need for several opportunities in our Sydney studio, outlined below:

 

Project Architect / Project Leader Role

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Senior Architect / Project Leader with experience in design development, documentation and delivery of significant complex, large-scale projects. 

We are interested in your strengths and how they would effectively contribute to the design and delivery of our projects.

 

Key responsibilities / Previous high-level experience:

  • responsibility for developing ideas in an exploratory, collaborative work environment
  • high attention to detail with a curious approach to design
  • day to day management of teams on large-scale projects from initial briefing to completion
  • leading the delivery of projects as a Project Architect
  • exceptional communication and client management skills
  • awareness of contractual responsibilities of the project including brief, scope, and deliverables
  • exemplary project planning: resource modeling, programming, and task allocation
  • working proficiency with Revit based software

 

Architect / Experienced Architectural Graduate Role

We are building our project teams across a range of sectors and are seeking Architects and experienced Architectural Graduates or Documenters with extensive prior design and documentation experience in a design focused, top tier practice.

 

Requirements – Previous experience:

  • excellent technical knowledge, documentation skills
  • keen design eye and attention to detail
  • exceptional coordination skills
  • a strong team player with autonomy
  • willingness to learn and critical thinker
  • outstanding Revit skills
