Community Youth Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced manager to provide a range of support to young people, 16 - 25 years old, in order to transition them into Independent stabilised accommodation.

You will need to be able to provide assistance in the form of practical and emotional support delivered through structured case management plans to gain skills which will assist them to not only sustain a tenancy but also assist with education, employment and developing life skills

You will provide leadership and direction for all business activities and will develop and implement the strategic plan in conjunction with the Management Committee.

To be successful for this position, you must be able to;

  • Establish a strong working relationship with the Management Committee providing timely reporting and strategic advice to the Committee on business financial and operational performance, program delivery planning and human resources
  • Keep the organisation’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action
  • Plan and support the development of individual’s skills and abilities so that they can fulfil current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively
  • Monitor and motivate direct reports’ performance and outcomes against agreed goals/targets
  • Convert Strategy Plan into annual business plans and associated Budgets for presentation to Management Committee
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in operations and service delivery
  • Ensure all planning activities required for external bodies as well as internal business management processes are completed effectively and in a timely manner
  • Within a Quality Management framework develop policies, procedures, and protocols including, for example, risk management, code of conduct, fraud prevention, due diligence, and conflict of interest.


To be considered for this position you must have;

  • Tertiary qualifications in the business administration, financial management, management or related fields or at least 5 years in related fields.
  • Proven experience in managing staff
  • Ability to led, self-manage and to adapt readily and rapidly to change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • A current open driver's license.
  • Must have a Blue Card issued by Department of Justice and Attorney-General or the ability to hold.
  • Desirable - Understanding and sound knowledge Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008.
  • Desirable - Understanding and sound knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013.
