Your opportunity

Join our professional and dedicated After and Before College Care/Vacation Care team and play a vital role in the delivery of a high-quality program.  Apply your experience and qualification to actively supervise, interact and engage with children within a collaborative environment.  Successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis and work to a roster with some flexibility provided.  Reporting to the Head of Primary through the Nominated Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • providing learning opportunities for children using intentional teaching and scaffolding methods and encouraging spontaneous learning;
  • contributing to the curriculum plan by evaluating children’s interactions during play and implementing an educational program for children;
  • greeting families and communicating with children as well as their parents to enhance well established partnerships between families and the Service, and to develop new partnerships with future families in a highly professional manner.

You will have:

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Certificate III in Children’s Services or tertiary education related to children
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Skills and sensitivity in communicating with parents, students and other employees
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
