Mental Health Clinician - Port Stephens Youth Complex Mental Health Service

We are currently seeking a mental health clinician to join the Port Stephens Youth Complex Mental Health Service. 

The position is based in the Port Stephens area, and is offered 4 days per week (30.4 hrs per week). The role is offered from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 (with further extension likely dependent on funding).

The Port Stephens Youth Complex Mental Health Service is funded separately to the headspace Newcastle service, but will fall under the governance structures of headspace Newcastle and Hunter Primary Care. 

The person in this role will be expected to work with young people with, or at risk of developing, severe mental illness, by engaging with them and their families, undertaking mental health assessments and delivering mental health clinical treatment / therapeutic interventions throughout their contact with the Youth Complex Mental Health Service.
