Sales Manager Brisbane

Allied Express is a leading Australian Transport & Logistics company seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for the day to day management of the distribution sales in Rocklea.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager in Sydney, an exciting and challenging role exists for a highly driven, successful and motivated individual who can lead and drive a team of business development staff appointed by you in the Brisbane district by areas, and maintain the CRM software system for our sales solution.

A sales package of $140,000 plus bonuses, plus commission is on offer.

The person we are looking for must:

  • Have transport experience across courier, taxi truck and logistics solutions.
  • Run a structured and targeted sales program on a CRM platform across the sales team.
  • Develop and execute plans to capture business opportunities.
  • Recruit, train and motivate our sales team to achieve success.
  • Have a high degree of energy and urgency.
  • Have an eye for detail.
  • Be able to sell to and close large clients.
  • We are a large national distribution company, but your main focus will not be National express freight, it will be express freight across Brisbane, this is where logistic solutions come in.

Role Requirements:

  • To be a good leader.
  • To build a good team.
  • To be able to run the CRM system successfully.
  • Have sales targets for your team, set by you and the GM sales.
  • Have areas attached for each sales rep appointed.
  • Must have the will to succeed.
  • Must want this role, own it, turn it into a success story.

 We are seeking an individual who will:

  • Develop strategies to ensure that annual growth targets above the existing customer base are achieved.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders in strategic and designated accounts with the purpose of expanding the penetration of Allied Express solutions.
  • Maintain industry and segment knowledge and the suitability of products to customer needs.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to grow and mentor a sales team.
  • Who can manage their time productively in appointment setting, growing and maintaining a healthy pipeline and proactive in all forms of meetings with and for your team, both internal and client facing.
  • Who welcomes an opportunity to contribute with both sales and ideas in growing the business.
  • Who understands why and how important it is to maintain CRM software.
  • The ideal candidate will have Sales Management experience in the transport, logistics or taxi truck industry or knows he is a leader who can manage a team with a track record of achieving targets against budget.
  • Strong knowledge of the Brisbane customer market.

You will be actively involved in setting the direction of our business in Brisbane, in conjunction with the General Manager of Sales.

Previous experience in the transport industry, in particular in courier and taxi truck services, is crucial to your success in this role but not essential.

Demonstrable success in a high level sales environment is also expected.
