Senior Scrum Master

The opportunity

CoreLogic is the leading provider of property information & data analytics across Australia & New Zealand.  We have an opportunity for an experienced  Scrum Master to join our team based in Sydney on a Permanent basis.

This role will see you manage the end-to-end delivery of software product development from requirements and design through to release under an Agile (Scrum) methodology. You will also be accountable for developing, defining and executing project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects using agile methodologies
  • Accountable for developing, defining and executing project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables using on-shore and off-shore scrum teams
  • Facilitate agile processes - run daily stand ups, sprint retrospectives, demos and monitor health of Sprint;
  • Facilitate Sprint Backlog grooming and planning sessions;
  • Manage and plan technical, resource and project dependencies within and across scrum teams;
  • As a Change Owner / Release Coordinator for the releases from the scrum team, take ownership for the end to end release process;
  • Coordinate with the scrum, DBA and infrastructure teams to implement change management process to release into UAT and Production;
  • Coach scrum teams as required and champion the scrum process; champion continuous improvement process and agile maturity improvements;
  • As agile champion continuously measure and address areas of agile maturity and coach the scrum team; train and document process and champion use of appropriate tools;
  • Travel as required to other CoreLogic office locations

Key Requirements of this Role:

  • Subject matter expertise as a Scrum Master
  • Strong understanding and application of change management / release coordination competencies
  • Experience in data development and technologies (Datamarts, ETL's).
  • Excellent communication, persuasion & problem solving skills
  • Strong experience managing stakeholders

Experience and Education Required:

  • At least 3 years of practicing Scrum (as a Scrum Master). At least 2 years’ experience with IT Project Management;
  • Experience in and advanced proficiency in executing projects end-to-end using an agile framework as a scrum master;
  • Tertiary qualifications;
  • Formal project management qualifications in Scrum / Prince2 / PMBok
