Mayo Hardware is a successful privately owned Australian company that has enjoyed a reputation for quality and excellence in the distribution of Hardware, Leisure and Industrial products throughout Australia and overseas.

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Field Sales Representative to service the Hardware retail channel. Therefore, we are searching for a self motivated and experienced sales person to meet our customer’s needs. The successful person will join our SA sales team and will be responsible for looking after our leading hardware chains along with other retailers.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate both a successful track record within retail sales and high level of Merchandising standards.  The key responsibilities in the role include:

• Maintaining regular call cycles, including regional areas.

• Conducting electronic vendor refilling, and stock inventory management.

• Strong merchandising of all our Brands.

• Delivering instore training and demonstrations.

• Nurturing relationships both B2B and F2F to achieve excellent instore execution.

• Exceed sales targets with the utilisation of professional selling and retail merchandising skills.

 

The position will report directly to the WASA State Field Sales Manager.  Ideally the successful candidate will:

• Have at least 2-3 years related sales experience in retail Hardware

• Have excellent communication skills

• Will be an enthusiastic self starter with a positive attitude

• Need to demonstrate strong time management

• Have the ability to achieve sales targets

• Have strong negotiation and influencing skills

• Have proficient Microsoft Office knowledge

• Understanding of retail industry (preferred)

• Relevant tertiary qualifications – Business (preferred)
