Documenter & Interior Draftsperson

The Role
Our South Australia operation has an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Design Technician, with an interior focus to join our studio in Adelaide. You will be part of a dynamic design team working on a range of projects but with an emphasis on supporting various projects, locally, nationally and internationally. You will be involved in all aspects of interior design and architectural services including: concept and sketch designs, design development, 3D modelling and rendering, BIM coordination and contract documentation. A demonstrated solid knowledge and skills of the current version of Autodesk REVIT is essential for this role.

As the successful candidate, you will be a talented and laterally thinking innovator. This role will be delivery focussed with an opportunity to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams, with the interior design team. With a strong eye for technical detail of joinery and partition detailing, and a motivated, methodical, organised approach to your work, you will be working in a team with a focus on producing time efficient, quality solutions for clients.

Working with the Lead Interior Designer, as part of a design team, this position offers good variety of work that will see you involved in

  • Provide meticulous, complete and reliable design and technical documentation
  • Use your comprehensive understanding of building technology to develop technically sound construction documentation 
  • Be a strong communicator able to liaise with services engineers 
  • Check design and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness 
  • Use your advanced REVIT skills to prepare design and technical documentation including 3D presentation material

What you will bring to the team 
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience  
  • Experience in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT 
  • Ability to interpret project briefs, and develop technically sound detailed solutions 
  • Interior Design focus 
  • Work effectively in team and interdisciplinary environments 
  • Be a self-motivator and be able to work unassisted 
  • Exposure to design packages such as Sketch-up, Enscape and Adobe InDesign will be highly regarded
